During an intimate painting session in your home (or chosen space), you and your loved one(s) create an abstract background together. You paint freely — without pressure, without judgment — guided gently through color, movement and intuition.

During this time, I capture a photograph of you — a quiet, authentic moment from the experience.

After the session, I take the canvas to my studio and transform your painted background into a finished portrait, painted by hand on top of what you created together.

The final artwork becomes:

Step 1

The Painting Session

How long does the session take?

The Shared Canvas Experience lasts around two hours.

It’s a relaxed, joyful time filled with laughter, conversation, and painting together.

We begin by getting to know each other, I explain the process and show you simple painting techniques. You then create the background together, which I later transform into the final artwork in my studio.

The session can take place in your home or in a location we choose together.

Who can take part in the experience?

This experience is for couples, families, friends, or groups of people who want to create something meaningful together.

It can also be a beautiful shared moment for a group of friends, a team experience, or a creative gathering.

This experience is created to honour important moments in your life.

It can celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, pregnancy, the birth of a child, moving to a new home, or closing one chapter and beginning another.

Many of my clients are expats who want to create something that carries the feeling of home — both the one they left behind and the one they are building now.

You are welcome to bring personal elements into the process, such as photographs, ultrasound images, old family pictures, favourite quotes, book pages, newspaper clippings, pieces of wallpaper, or other meaningful objects. These details can become part of the story behind your artwork.

Do I need any painting experience?

Not at all.

You only need curiosity and enthusiasm.

I will gently guide you through the entire process, step by step.

The final piece does not have to be a traditional portrait — the subject and direction can be discussed individually.

I am based in Canton Zug, where the experience is included in the price.

Sessions in other locations can also be arranged individually — we can discuss the details together before booking.

How long does it take to receive the final artwork?

I work with premium oil paints, which require time to dry properly before varnishing.
